This weeks featured item post is about the purple embossed earrings
These earrings where made by embossing a blank bronze coin with my sissix big spot. I chose a tulip pattern to emboss onto the coin and polished it lightly to make the relieved area shine then painted it with patina glaze to keep the shine.

The filigree was painted with a vintaj amethyst patina ink and polished the same as the coin to give it rougher look. This was then glazed as well.
Next I added a jump ring to the coin then added another jump ring to that one and added the filigree and ear hoop.
The coin is about the same size as a one pence piece, to give you an idea of the size.
